Roblox gift card for 100, 500, or 10,000 Robux: a parent's cheat sheet

Published 2026-08-06 · Last updated 2026-08-06 · 5 min read · gaming
TL;DR

$10 → 800 Robux, $25 → 2,000, $50 → 4,500, $100 → 10,000. Buy from roblox.com, Amazon, Walmart, Target, GameStop — or via cartapi in one prompt (code emailed in a minute). Every "free Robux" site is a scam. Never enter your kid's Roblox login on any third-party site. Roblox Premium members get ~10% bonus Robux; non-Premium get face value.

Your kid wanted "a Roblox gift card" for their birthday. They cannot tell you which one. You're standing in the Target gift-card aisle at 5pm on a Sunday looking at seven different denominations.

Here's the map.

Denomination cheat sheet

CardRobux (non-Premium)Roughly buys
$10800A few skins in a popular game, or a small pass in Adopt Me / Blox Fruits
$151,200Bit more headroom for one specific thing they've been asking for
$252,000A game pass in most popular games (typical prices 400–1,500 Robux)
$504,500 (small bulk bonus)Multiple game passes or a UGC limited item
$10010,000 (bigger bulk bonus)Serious in-game economy participation

The Robux-per-dollar rate is roughly $0.0125 flat below $50; bulk denominations get progressively better. Roblox Premium subscription (separate product, monthly fee) adds ~10% to every Robux purchase — worth it if the kid is spending regularly.

Ask the kid which game they play most. Look up that game's popular item prices. Buy a card denomination that clears at least one item they want with headroom. $25 is the sweet spot for most 8–14-year-olds.

The "free Robux" landmine

Google "roblox robux gift card free" and the first ten results are ad-farms, credential-phishing pages, and "surveys." None of them give free Robux. What they give:

Never enter a Roblox login on any site that isn't roblox.com. Never let your kid do it either. If the kid mentions a "free Robux site," they're the target of a scam.

The 60-second AI-agent flow

claude mcp add --transport http cartapi https://mcp.cartapi.io/mcp

using cartapi, get a $25 Roblox gift card for the US, email to [email protected].

Claude calls search_gift_cards(country="US", brand="Roblox", min_amount_usd=20), picks the $25 SKU, calls get_checkout_link, returns a Stripe URL. You click, you pay $25 (plus small Stripe fee), the code arrives at [email protected] within a minute. The kid enters it at roblox.com/redeem and the Robux land on their account.

No Target trip. No Amazon signup. No "which of seven cards is the right one" aisle stress.

How the kid actually redeems it

  1. Kid logs into their own Roblox account at roblox.com/redeem.
  2. Types the code from the email (10 characters, uppercase + numbers).
  3. Clicks Redeem. Robux appear on the account balance immediately.
  4. Kid spends them in whatever game they're currently obsessed with.

Do NOT redeem the code on your own account thinking you can transfer Robux later — you can't. Robux are non-transferable between accounts. Give the kid the code and let them redeem.

Refund rules if the code doesn't work

Roblox Premium: worth it?

Roblox Premium is a monthly subscription (~$5/$10/$20 per month for 450/1000/2200 Robux/month + ~10% bonus on all Robux purchases + trading/economy features). For a kid who's actively spending Robux monthly, Premium is often cheaper than gift-card top-ups. For an occasional spender, gift cards win.

Rule of thumb: if the kid spends more than $10-worth of Robux per month, Premium starts making sense.

Frequently asked questions

How many Robux is a $10 Roblox gift card?

800 Robux at standard rate. $25 → 2,000, $50 → 4,500 (bulk bonus), $100 → 10,000. Roblox Premium adds ~10% bonus on top.

Are "free Roblox gift card" sites legitimate?

No. Every one is a scam — login phishing, ad-farm, or data harvest. Never enter a Roblox login on any site other than roblox.com.

Where's the safest place to buy a Roblox gift card online?

roblox.com direct, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, GameStop, or cartapi via AI agent. Avoid grey-market key sites for Roblox specifically.

Should I redeem the code on my account and transfer to my kid?

No — Robux are non-transferable between accounts. Give the kid the code and let them redeem on their own account.
